Bill Bovender

Bill Bovender joined the law firm of Hunter, Smith Davis in 1975. This year marks the firm's 100th anniversary. In fact, HSD worked to incorporate Kingsport in 1917. Bovender is a Tennessee Bar Foundation Fellow, past president of the Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce and helped found the annual FunFest celebration in 1980. … [Read more...]

Betty Iverson

Betty Iverson arrived in Kingsport in 1957. As a religious educator, she served four counties in the area, providing churches with leadership training and skills. When she saw the four church spires on the city's skyline, she knew she had found a good place to live and work. Howard Young

Howard Young graduated from college in his home town of Birmingham, Alabama, at the age of 17, and then went on to earn a PhD at Brown University, while also serving his country as part of the US Army's "Operation Dogpatch."
